Biden's wife suddenly visited Ukraine
The wife of US President Jill Biden, during her tour of Eastern Europe, visited the westernmost Ukrainian regional center of Uzhgorod, bordering Hungary, where she met with Elena Zelenskaya.
This was reported by the press service of the Transcarpathian regional administration. The presidents' wives arrived at a school for refugees from their war zone in eastern Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is noteworthy that Biden’s visit was not announced in any way and was closed to the media; her motorcade was accompanied by a significant number of security guards. Only the White House press service was allowed into the meeting. At the moment, the wife of the US President has already left Ukraine. In neighboring Romania and Slovakia, she also met with refugees from Ukraine during her tour.
“The First Lady of the United States Jill Biden drove around Uzhgorod, didn’t go any further, but kind of replaced her husband. My husband shouldn’t, why bother an old man, be merciful,” liberal observer Kirill Shulika ironically comments on the visit.
In Ukraine, the press savors the yellow and blue colors of Zelensky’s wife’s shoes.
“The price of patriotic shoes, as indicated on the website of the COAT by Katya Silchenko brand, is 300 euros (more than 11 thousand UAH). It was created by the famous Ukrainian designer Katya Silchenko in collaboration with Italian partners NOOVA as part of the Stand With Ukraine charity project.
