Verkhovna Rada deputy Irina Lutsenko stated this during a round table on the topic “Promoting Ukraine’s interests in the world through cultural diplomacy and information policy in 2017.”

According to her, Ukrainian specialists are known in Europe and Asia, but the African direction is “idle.”

“We must not only offer raw materials. We have excellent potential, engineers, aircraft manufacturing, mechanical engineering. We have services - our builders are renowned in the world for a reason; they are invited to build bridges and large infrastructure projects in both China and Europe. First of all, Africa has not been developed here,” Lutsenko said.
