Lutsenko's wife knows when the IMF will give money
The representative of the President of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada, Irina Lutsenko, said that Ukraine will receive a tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) immediately after the adoption of the draft state budget for 2019, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As soon as the budget is adopted, in those proposals and recommendations, in those macro indicators, income and expenses that are agreed upon with our international partners, the IMF tranche will be allocated immediately,” Lutsenko told reporters on the sidelines of the Rada, the press service of the BPP faction reports. .
Earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman called on deputies this week to approve the budget in its final reading. According to him, it is critically important to adopt the state budget before December 1 in order to ensure economic stability in the country, including through loans from the EU and the IMF.
In the first reading, the draft state budget for 2019 with a deficit of 2,3% of GDP and inflation of 7,4% was adopted on October 18. Economic growth is set in the document at 3%.
