In order to maintain safety, the battalion soldiers do not disclose their names and hide their faces. They address each other by call sign. Lyudmila is called “The Builder” because she used to be in the construction business.
“I’ve been in the battalion for about a month. I'm a former nurse. I wrote there, three weeks later I was invited to the base. On these same days, a battle took place near Karlovka. Together with a friend from the Donetsk region, we asked the battalion for a car and went to look for wounded soldiers,” the Zorya publication quotes Lyudmila.
After that, she was redirected to the battalion’s training base in Novi Petrivtsi near Kiev. For three weeks she underwent combat training together with men: instructors taught her how to disassemble machine guns, how to move correctly, reconnaissance, and shoot.
Every day in Novi Petrivtsi, fighters who went through the Russian-Georgian war of 2008 worked with them.
“I have two children, I want them to do well. Therefore, I will be with the battalion until the very end,” she says.
Let us remind you that earlier the leader of the LPR Valery Bolotov said that female snipers were used against the militias.
