Zhirinovsky wants to arrest Sobchak and Yavlinsky
The emergence of presidential candidates such as Ksenia Sobchak is explained by the Kremlin's desire to increase turnout in elections.

The leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, announced this today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“The toastmaster from the thieves’ corporate events will argue: return Crimea, stop Donbass, leave Syria. She and Yavlinsky - they should be put in prison for violating the territorial integrity of our country. For them there are bandits in Donbass, but for us they are heroes. It is the Russians who defend Russian land. Of course, Yavlinsky is from Lvov. In no country in the world would they be allowed to vote. They would have been arrested at home,” Zhirinovsky said.
He predicts that 30 of Russia's 110 million voters will not turn out to vote.
“And out of the 70 million who came, the Kremlin candidate will receive 50. That’s half the country. But this is democracy. People choose. Everyone around us chooses: Finns, Ukrainians, and we want this. This is the last time such elections will take place. The next ones will already have two or three full-fledged candidates. And we will worry about who will get 2-3 more votes,” Zhirinovsky said.
