Zhirinovsky wrote how to “knock out” $3 billion from Ukraine
Russia will be able to collect debts from Ukraine only when it establishes its control over it.
The leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, stated this in his telegram channel, commenting on today’s decision of the Court of Appeal of England and Wales, which postponed Ukraine’s payment of $3 billion in debt to Russia.
“Russia will be able to pay off its debts only when the Russian flag hovers over Kiev,” Zhirinovsky wrote.
He believes that Ukraine owes Russia much more than 3 billion.
“This is a debt for only one loan, but how many billions did they receive from Russia through huge discounts on gas? How much did they earn from the gas pipe that runs through their territory? After all, they blackmailed the whole of Europe in 2010, when they stole gas! What about the territory? In 1991, Ukraine received a huge territory, including tens of thousands of square kilometers of Russian land,” Zhirinovsky wrote.
He believes that even if the London court decides in favor of the Russian Federation, it will not force Ukraine to pay off its debts.
“She just doesn’t have any money. Ukraine is a bankrupt country. And when Russia finally launches Nord Stream 2, which will deprive Ukraine of the opportunity to make money from the pipe, this country will generally default on all obligations. Kyiv will stop returning money not only to us, but also to the European Union, the USA, and the World Bank,” Zhirinovsky wrote.
