Zhirinovsky: It is necessary to restore the imperial flag and anthem “God Save the Tsar”
In Russia, the imperial black-yellow-white flag and the anthem “God Save the Tsar” need to be restored. This was stated by the leader of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky.

“We need to restore the old flag. He is unique. No one else has flowers like these. And white-blue-red is similar to French, Czech, Serbian. What is this for - the old anthem, the old coat of arms, the old flag? To link Russia with all of the former Russia - tsarist, Soviet - all this is one country,” he said.
“On Monday there is a holiday - the 27th anniversary of the declaration of independence of Russia. Funny! We are 1205 years old! In 812, the first mention of Kievan Rus as a state,” Zhirinovsky emphasized.
“The old anthem is “God Save the Tsar!” - the whole ideology is embedded in it... There is an appeal to the head of state, a call for him to reign for the glory of us, in spite of our enemies, to reign forever, he is Orthodox... And it is short, and the famous music has been performed for almost 150 years... Previously it sounded like a prayer of the Russian people “Under this anthem and the black-yellow-white flag we won huge victories, the empire flourished,” the politician recalled.
