Zhirinovsky demanded that Lavrov resign
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation needs to be replaced because Sergei Lavrov does not meet the strict requirements of current world politics. The leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, announced this today at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“International problems remain, and we believe a tougher line is needed. Where would I start if I were president: I would start by changing the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He is no longer suitable for a different environment... today we need another person who will be better than him,” Zhirinovsky said.

He called Russian diplomacy "sluggish" and unresponsive.
“North Korea cannot threaten the world - I agree. But let the United States not threaten either. The Korean people have the right to live the way they want. The Americans brazenly declare that if any country cooperates with the DPRK, America will break off relations with it. And our diplomats are still analyzing this stupidity,” Zhirinovsky said.
He considers it wrong that the Russian Foreign Ministry agreed to the US-imposed strategy of reducing the number of diplomats.
“It was not necessary to expel their diplomats, but to send ours there. Send 700 people for parity. And they should be offered to open 7 more consulates here,” Zhirinovsky said.
