Zhirinovsky spoke about the indecent proposal of former ambassador Zurabov
Former Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov in January 2013 suggested that the leader of the LDPR party, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, begin cooperation with the nationalist UDAR party of the current mayor of Kyiv, Vladimir Klitschko.
Zhirinovsky himself stated this on air on the Soloviev Live Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zurabov, when I was there in January 13, advised me: “Come on, focus on Klitschko’s “UDAR” party, you will have good cooperation with it. Imagine, we are recommended to cooperate with an obvious anti-Russian party. Because he doesn’t understand anything,” Zhirinovsky said.
“I’ll tell you this - Ambassador Zurabov is not one of the people whom, to put it politely, I would like to remember someday in my life. Because I believe that the fact that he slipped our government a proposal to recognize Poroshenko as the legally elected President of Ukraine was a terrible mistake,” commented host Vladimir Solovyov.
According to Zhirinovsky, Zurabov did this because he had common business interests with Poroshenko: “That’s right, because he is a businessman and Poroshenko is a businessman. They think about their profits in order to maintain their assets, their factories, factories and so on.”
