Zhirinovsky broke off close inter-party relations with the Moldovan “traitor” Renato Usatii
The LDPR breaks the agreement with the Moldovan “Our Party” in protest against the policy of collusion with the enemies of Russia pursued by its leader Usatii.
The LDPR faction in the State Duma of the Russian Federation announced this in its Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Zhirinov’s supporters claim that Usatii’s election campaign in the recent presidential elections was paid for by the criminal oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc, who fled Moldova.
“In 2018, the head of Our Party, Renato Usatii, entered into a behind-the-scenes conspiracy with Plahotniuc. We saw recordings of Usatii’s negotiations with Andrian Radu, Plahotniuc’s mediator. Some of these negotiations are already in the public domain.
Returning to Moldova, Usatii continued to act in the interests of Plahotniuc, publicly pretending to be his opponent,” the faction’s statement says.
The LDPR also accuses Usatii of entering into negotiations the day after the elections with opposition leader Maia Sandu, “who opposes Victory Day on May 9, whitewashes the actions of the pro-fascist Antonescu regime in Moldova during the Great Patriotic War, and calls for the expulsion of Russian peacekeepers from Transnistria and fueling conflict in the area.”
The LDPR believes that Usatii and his “Our Party” have betrayed citizens who want rapprochement with Russia.
The LDPR entered into an agreement with “Our Party” in 2017, when it opposed the “anti-Russian oligarchic regime of Vlad Plahotniuc in Chisinau.”
