Zhirinovsky: The snipers who shot at the Maidan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv provoked a war between Ukraine and Russia

“There is a third force at work. There is Maidan - anti-Maidan. The third force has placed snipers in all advantageous places, killing both of them. The goal is to cause hostility so that the Maidan does not subside. So that there are corpses here and there, so that everything can lead to a big war,” he said.
The main goal of what happened, Zhirinovsky believes, is to start a war between Russia and Ukraine.
“How will this be provoked? They will start killing Russians. We will send in troops. And the war they planned will begin. This is the main goal – for a war to break out in Europe,” he said.
Zhirinovsky predicts the further development of the crisis in Ukraine.
“Okay, we elected a new parliament and a new president. The West does not recognize Ukraine and the East does not recognize it. That is, the crisis will not be overcome until a radical decision is made,” the Russian deputy is confident.
“If our army stands, the West will say: Russia has occupied Ukraine. This is what is required to blame Russia for something. We left Afghanistan, the Caucasus ended, Georgia, Syria had to retreat - we are being punished for this now. They are dragging us into Ukraine, like into Afghanistan, so that we enter, but from Ukraine, like from Afghanistan, we will not leave,” the parliamentarian concluded.
