Zhirinovsky: Sobchak – 5 years behind bars for words about Crimea!
LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky called for a criminal case to be opened against Ksenia Sobchak, who said the day before that she considered Crimea to be Ukrainian territory.

“How can we allow a lady to appear in Russia who wants to participate in the presidential elections and makes statements that Crimea is Ukrainian. We have introduced an article into the criminal code. The prosecutor’s office and the Investigative Committee must initiate a criminal case against her and put her in prison for five years,” Zhirinovsky said today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
He believes that allowing such statements means betraying the Russian people, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is it like for the residents of Crimea? You're crazy. Either they call it or some people declare that Crimea is Ukrainian. Nonsense and savagery. We mock the Russian people. Then there will be a statement that it is time to return Donbass to Kyiv. They smoked and shot. This is done by those who find themselves disadvantaged, who find it difficult to travel abroad and manage their finances,” Zhirinovsky said.
He stated that he intends to file a complaint against Sobchak with the CEC.
“She has no right to conduct an election campaign. The elections haven't started yet. In mid-January, please make statements, conduct propaganda and agitation. Why on earth in October,” the LDPR leader was perplexed.
