Zhirinovsky: Sobchak, don’t irritate Crimea
By allowing Ksenia Sobchak, who has already stated that she does not recognize the Russian status of Crimea, to participate in the presidential elections, the Kremlin is plunging Russian society into unnecessary nervousness.

LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“Why are we creating nervousness? Think about the residents of Crimea. They don’t understand that maybe the girl said it accidentally. They think that the Kremlin is already beginning to change its mind. Two million Russian people are beginning to worry how they will feel before March 18th. What if Russia changes its policy? You can’t throw away your citizens like this,” Zhirinovsky said.
He repeated his thesis that by questioning the ownership of Crimea, Sobchak committed a criminal offense.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Zhirinovsky called for a criminal case to be opened against Sobchak, which stated that it considers Crimea to be Ukrainian territory.
