LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They don’t need democracy in Ukraine or its development. They need a springboard. They want the population to become smaller, poor and illiterate. Ukraine is needed for a war against Russia, but not on Russian territory, but so that everything in Ukraine burns and blazes. So that there is no powerful power. She can’t be with Kiev. We need Moscow,” Zhirinovsky said.
He believes that Ukraine can preserve itself only in an alliance with Russia.
“All this can be combined so that Ukraine remains as it is. It’s a beautiful word – at the edge of the Russian Empire. Next comes Europe. This is not nationality. If you want Ukrainian, please. Why insult each other? A hundred people are fooling you. You and I are like guinea pigs,” Zhirinovsky said.
In conclusion, he unexpectedly turned to the Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Kiselev, who was present in the studio.
“Cum already. National Unity Day concerns you too. 400 years ago our ancestors agreed and united. And now we will sing. Come on Vadim, we rehearsed with you,” said Zhirinovsky.
After this, the politician and political scientist sang the chorus of the “Kyiv Waltz.” They were supported by other participants in the program from Ukraine.
