Zhirinovsky: Ukraine will cease to exist
In the coming years, dozens of new states will appear in Europe, and Ukraine will completely lose its lands. The leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, stated this today at a rally in Moscow in support of Catalan independence.

“The territories will separate from France, and from Britain, and from Germany. Ukraine will lose most of its lands, for this is Novorossiya, this is Poland, this is Hungary, this is Romania. There is nothing left for Ukraine at all, because there is no purely Ukrainian land where they have lived from time immemorial. This is the same tribe of nomads as those we came to in Central Asia or Siberia,” Zhirinovsky said.
He accused Europe of double standards, since in some cases it recognizes the right of a territory to independence, but in other similar cases it does not, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are not saying that any call for independence should be accepted. But we need to recognize those who were once an independent state: Catalonia, Abkhazia, Donbass, Crimea and the entire territory of Novorossiya. They were generally part of Russia for a thousand years, and there was never any Ukraine there. All this was created by the Bolsheviks,” said Zhirinovsky.
