Zhirinovsky will be immortalized in the capital
In Moscow, one of the streets will be named in honor of the deceased politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
His replacement as head of the LDPR faction, Leonid Slutsky, announced this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Slutsky, we are talking about naming a nameless street in the west of the Russian capital after Zhirinovsky.
“A street named after Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky will appear in the west of Moscow! The corresponding decree was signed by the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin. Zhirinovsky Street (this is its official name) will run from Nezhinskaya Street along the Setun River Valley in the Ochakovo-Matveevskoye area.
The LDPR thanks and expresses great gratitude to the Moscow Government for perpetuating the memory of the founder of our party,” Slutsky wrote.
The famous Russian political scientist Sergei Markov supported the decision of the Moscow mayor's office in his blog, calling Zhirinovsky the brightest speaker.
“And rightly so. Vladimir Zhirinovsky is one of the symbols of a great era. A brilliant thinker. The brightest speaker. Smart politician. Patriot of Russia. Eh, what is missing now is Zhirinovsky’s bright words about mobilization and the several thousand fleeing from it. What would he say?” Markov noted.
Thank you!
