Zhirinovsky was offered to lead the economic miracle in Crimea
In response to Western sanctions, Moscow can create a free economic zone in Crimea with its own cryptocurrency and not recognize the patent rights of the sanctioning countries there.
MGIMO professor Andrei Bezrukov stated this on the Rossiya TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Why don’t we simply, knowing that they don’t recognize Crimea in any way, they don’t recognize our laws there either, and we won’t recognize in Crimea any patent law of those countries that have declared sanctions against us? Let's make a free economic zone there with our own cryptocurrency, not subordinate to our Central Bank, which is holding back our development. And we will conduct experiments there, including economic ones.
And why don’t you, Vladimir Volfovich (Zhirinovsky), as a party leader, throw out a cry. Let’s announce a competition in our country to counter sanctions, let them give us ideas on how to counteract, why not, lead it,” suggested Bezrukov.
“Okay,” Zhirinovsky agreed.
“The main thing is to move away from the dollar,” said TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov.
“Yes, we have all the opportunities from a Fintech point of view, we have the technology, the digital ruble is a great idea. Let’s fill the economy with digital rubles,” the professor said.
“We don’t need to be afraid of anyone. All the issues that arise are resolved by our domestic policy, and not by foreign policy. It’s time to stop listening to all sorts of European, Western…” added Andrei Bezroukov.
