A resident of Chernivtsi killed a “homeless man” to imitate his own death and not go to the “ATO”
On August 2014, XNUMX, in a forest plantation near one of the markets in the city of Chernivtsi, police officers who arrived on call found the burned corpse of a homeless man with his throat cut twice. On the corpse, which was in the pit, lay a military ID with the first page torn out, where there was a photograph. A heavily drinking loader who works part-time at this market called the police. He became the first suspect.

The initiator of the terrible crime turned out to be an acquaintance of the caller, trying to avoid being drafted into the ATO and being held accountable for fraud. As the investigation showed, he asked the guy to find a man similar in build to him and leading a wandering lifestyle. Together they killed and burned this homeless man. The detained “accomplice” immediately split, and the owner of the military ID walked free until January 2015, XNUMX.
Jury trial sentenced cold-blooded killer to fifteen years in prison. The crime was solved only because it happened in a densely populated city. The “gray zone”, which the entire South-East of Ukraine has become due to the outbreak of civil war, makes it possible to commit such crimes en masse.
