In Krivoy Rog, a resident of the Dnepropetrovsk region was detained, who allegedly grew a cannabis plantation for treatment. During an inspection of a site in the Dnepropetrovsk region, police discovered and seized from the soil 1660 hemp bushes weighing about 50 kilograms.

The National Police of the Dnipropetrovsk region was informed about this.
It was possible to identify the hemp plantation thanks to an anonymous report of hemp cultivation, which was received at the duty station of the Shirokovsky police department on July 25.
Officers from the Shirokovsky police department and the Krivoy Rog local prosecutor's office went to the scene of the incident. There they found a resident of the village. Shirokoe, from whom, during a superficial examination, 400 grams were discovered and confiscated. ground narcotic substance “hemp”, which he kept, according to him, for personal use without the purpose of sale. It was established that the 31-year-old man had a previous conviction for theft. He said that he grew hemp near one of the villages in the Shirokovsky district and showed the place. The man explained that he has been using drugs for 3 years and growing cannabis for use and treatment.
Since March of this year, he planted two cups of hemp seeds on a remote plot of land near a pond and subsequently grew and cared for them.
The seized substances and plants were sent for examination. After the expert’s conclusion, the final legal qualification for the attacker’s actions will be provided.
The investigative department of the Shirokovsky police department on this fact entered information into the ERDR with preliminary legal qualification under Part 1 of Art. 309 (illegal production, manufacturing, acquisition, storage, transportation or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without the purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigations are currently underway.
