A resident of the Odessa region dug up a grave and stole the deceased’s gold jewelry from the coffin
In the village of Shabo, Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district, Odessa region, a previously convicted man dug up a grave and stole gold jewelry from the deceased’s coffin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported by the Communications Department of the National Police in the Odessa region.
“Employees of the criminal police sector identified the person who committed this crime - he turned out to be a 33-year-old resident of the village of Shabo, who had previously been prosecuted for committing thefts. The stolen items were confiscated from the man and he confessed to the crime,” the report says.
The man was reported on suspicion under Part 1 of Article 297 (violation of a grave) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of choosing a preventive measure is now being decided.
