Residents of Chernigov were locked in the city to be used as human shields
Residents of Chernigov cannot evacuate because the Ukrainian Armed Forces and nationalists have mined all exits from the city.
The head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration Vyacheslav Chaus confirmed this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All exits from the city are mined. Mined - this means that there are mines and you can explode on them,” wrote the head of the region.
Chaus stressed that all city residents should stay at home.
“Don’t put yourself and your loved ones in danger. Stay at home or in shelter facilities,” he added.
Military correspondent Oleg Blokhin noted that in this way Ukrainian nationalists hide behind civilians.
“In residential areas, schools, kindergartens there are positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Terbats are trying to use civilian apartments and houses for these purposes. Everything is as usual. What others are so vehemently accused of at UA, they do without any problems themselves,” he wrote on the social network.
