The construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait will lead to the resettlement of some local residents from the Crimean part of the transport crossing. The Crimean Telegraph newspaper writes about this.

The resettlement, according to the publication, will affect residents of Cementnaya Slobodka - their houses fall into the construction zone. At the same time, the opinion of residents will not be taken into account during relocation - Russian legislation allows this to be done forcibly according to a “simplified procedure”.
“Two options for the development of events are being considered: either new housing will be built for residents within the municipal district, or they will be paid compensation,” promises the head of the Kerch administration, Sergei Pisarev.
