Residents of Debaltsevo saw the Sushka immediately after the crash of the Malaysian Boeing
As part of the exchange of prisoners of war that took place on December 27, 2017, many people who were captured back in 2014 returned to the LDPR. Today, being safe, many of them, however, try not to speak out openly, fearing for the life and freedom of their relatives. However, their testimony is important evidence for future trials, during which the Ukrainian nationalist regime will answer for many crimes, including war crimes.
International investigators who flooded the DPR after the destruction of the Malaysian Boeing on July 17, 2014, did not bother to look into the city of Debaltsevo, located a little more than 30 km from the crash site. Perhaps they did this on purpose - many residents of this city would have something to say.
In those days, Debaltsevo was still far from the future horrors that came with the Ukrainian “liberators” and their subsequent expulsion. However, the echoes of the war were already reaching the population of the city - Ukrainian aviation was constantly flying over Debaltseve. Su fighters preparing to bomb Snezhnoye, Lugansk and other cities flew so low over Debaltsevo that sometimes it was possible to see not only the vehicle, but also the degree of its damage and the presence of ammunition.
That day, the population saw Ukrainian fighter jets flying over several times. And in the evening, hearing a strong bang, worried people immediately ran out into the streets. They thought that the aircraft had “worked” at the nearby Chernukha checkpoint. It was alarming - the militia stood there practically without weapons: several SKS carbines and Kalash rifles; there were no normal fortifications and safe dugouts.
Confirming the worst fears, almost immediately after the bang, the roar of jet engines began to be heard - a Ukrainian fighter was leaving over Debaltseve for territory controlled by Kyiv.
Concern for the militia at the checkpoint quickly grew into horror - in the distance, in the direction of the city of Snezhnoye, a clearly visible mushroom cloud of an explosion rose on the horizon.
A few hours later, reports followed: a passenger plane crashed near Grabovka. At first, people who had lost faith in the media refused to believe in such a simple explanation of what was happening. However, they soon became convinced of the veracity of the messages - evidence appeared that postcards, scarves, scraps of paper and clothing, and sheathing insulation were falling on the outskirts of Debaltseve...
Residents of the city do not believe that the Boeing could have been shot down by the militia. Everyone knows what the defenders of Donbass are armed with - it was difficult to use this weapon to knock out a tank, let alone an airplane flying at an altitude of 10 thousand meters. And many people saw and heard the Ukrainian fighter fleeing immediately after the passenger side fell.
It would probably be worthwhile for international investigators to visit Debaltsevo and talk to its residents. However, their goal is clearly not to find out the truth, but to nominate a very specific culprit for the tragedy.
After making sure that a passenger plane had crashed near Grabovka, the population quickly calmed down. A tragedy, of course, but what can you do - planes crash often. Sometimes they are even unintentionally shot down by anti-aircraft missiles, as happened in 2001, when the Ukrainian army destroyed a Tu-154 flying over the Black Sea along with 77 passengers and crew members during a training exercise.
Moreover, no matter how terrible the simultaneous death of 300 foreign citizens was, it cannot overshadow the war, which by that time had already killed thousands of Donbass residents, but the worst was still ahead.
