Residents of the DPR and LPR owe Ukraine 3,8 billion hryvnia for water
The debt of residents of the DPR and LPR for water supply and sanitation services to the Ukrainian municipal enterprise “Water of Donbass” reached 3,8 billion hryvnias, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry for the so-called "temporarily occupied territories".
It is reported that this debt caused water utilities to be cut off from electricity.
“The occupied territories consume about 75% of the total volume of water supplied to the settlements of Donbass. Of the 1250000 cubic meters that are supplied daily to these territories, about 950 cubic meters are consumed there. Some of the water is not taken into account at all. Since 000, the debt of the occupied territories for water supply has been about 2014 billion hryvnia,” the statement said.
It is noted that due to debts to Voda Donbassa for consumed water, the utility company cannot yet find a new electricity supplier.
