Odessa, February 12 (PolitNavigator, Anna Vetvitskaya) – Early this morning in Izmail, Odessa region, vandals tried to paint the Lenin monument with various political slogans and the colors of the national flag of Ukraine, but were stopped by local residents.

Let us note that the vandals only managed to slightly paint the pedestal of the monument yellow and blue.
This fact is included in the unified register of events; the police say that an investigation will be carried out. Let us add that since the beginning of 2015, vandals have become more active in the Odessa region, destroying monuments to Lenin and other figures of the Soviet era.
