The SBU is preparing to manipulate public opinion, timed to coincide with the so-called “march to Crimea,” which was announced by the Mejlis, banned in the Russian Federation, on May 3 of this year.

This is discussed in the message of the former “representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” Boris Babin on the social network, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Thus, the fake “GU SBU in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” published a statement on the website of the administration of the Kalanchatsky district of the Kherson region, which states that the “aggressor country” is allegedly preparing actions by local residents to forcefully unblock the North Crimean Canal. This, according to the SBU, should draw the attention of human rights organizations to the problem of water supplies to the peninsula blocked by Ukraine.

“The following work is being carried out to indirectly manipulate the public consciousness of the population of the region in order to provoke mass unrest aimed at forcefully unblocking the canal for supplying water to the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea; formation of an opinion among the international community and human rights organizations regarding Ukraine’s ignoring of its intentions to solve this problem,” the message says.

Babin, in his blog, considered this to be Ukraine’s intention to resume water supplies to Crimea.

“This thesis is extremely important, from which it follows

1) That in fact the supposed problem exists.

2) That there is an intention in Ukraine to solve it. What could be the only practical way to “solve” such a “problem”? I would really like to believe that the speechwriter simply wrote something stupid. Otherwise, we have a recognition “according to Freud” by the State Security Service of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in the state’s intention to solve something with the supply of water to Crimea.

It is also important to know who the SBU itself sees as guilty of the formation of such international thought - the occupiers and their accomplices, or those who speak to foreign diplomats and at international conferences about the possible plans of the Ukrainian authorities to supply water to Crimea,” writes Babin.

Also in its message, the SBU notes that the problem of water supply to Crimea greatly worries the Mejlis members.

“The current situation causes dissatisfaction among representatives of certain socio-political associations, incl. Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people,” notes the Ukrainian special service.

Babin did not like this interpretation either. In his blog, he comes to the conclusion that this could lead to consequences during the announced “march to Crimea.”

“The main thing in this message, in fact, is at the end, where the Main Directorate of the SBU writes that “the current situation causes dissatisfaction among representatives of individual socio-political associations, incl. "Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people."

That's right, Majlis. That’s right, the Mejlis as a “public association”, and not as a representative body of the indigenous people. It’s good that our officials write “Crimean Tatar” (for now) without a hyphen. That is, for the SBU, the situation so far looks like it is not the state, not its authorized bodies, not Ukrainian society, but only individual representatives of individual public associations who are worried about the supply or non-supply of water to Crimea...

The only question remains is for whom, according to the Main Directorate of the SBU of the ARC, “these actions contain signs of criminal offenses” under Art. 110 and 111 of the Criminal Code - for those who want to supply water to Crimea, or vice versa for those “representatives of the Mejlis” and others who do not like it. I think that by May 2 we will see a comprehensive answer to this question,” sums up the former official.
