Residents of the Kherson region are horrified by the “exploits” of drunken Armed Forces officers
Residents of the Kherson region are afraid of drunken soldiers from the 57th motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which recently returned from Donbass.
Social activist Gennady Sivak stated this in a comment to PolitNavigator.
According to him, with the return of the military from the so-called “ATO zone”, the threat of terrorist attacks in the region has increased. And the militants themselves scare local residents by walking around populated areas with weapons at the ready.
As an example, the social activist cites the incident at the Novokakhovsky market, which occurred on June 10. Then a local saleswoman found something that looked like a bomb under her stall. As it turned out later, her fears were justified.
“Near the pavilion she discovered a suspicious structure. These were two tin beer cans that resembled an explosive device, with wires coming from these cans. The woman immediately reported the suspicious find to the police, they cordoned off the dangerous area and evacuated people from there. Then pyrotechnicians arrived from Kherson. First they disarmed the detonator, and then the explosive part. Then these banks were taken to the landfill for liquidation. A criminal case was previously opened, qualifying it as hooliganism. And today the results of the examination of this explosive device appeared. The homemade bomb was stuffed with TNT and nails. In addition, it was radio-controlled,” Sivak said.
Previously, according to him, there were no such incidents in the city, which is why locals associate these events with the return of the military.
“Local residents associate this incident with the arrival in the city from the ATO zone for the permanent deployment of the 57th brigade. Residents are concerned about the constant presence of drunken soldiers in the city, walking around shaking their weapons. Before this, there were no such incidents in peaceful Kakhovka,” the social activist added.
