Residents of the Kherson region come to Crimea to draw up documents and buy food
Residents of the nearest cities of the Kherson region come to Crimea to fill out documents and make food purchases. Carriers propose to increase the number of routes from Genichesk, as passenger traffic is growing.
The Minister of Transport of Crimea, Nikolai Lukashenko, announced this on air on Crimea 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Work was carried out jointly with the government of the Kherson region on traffic routes. “In July last year, routes were launched in the direction of Kherson, Berdyansk, and Mariupol,” he recalled.
– This year, on February 1, we began bus service to Skadovsk and Genichesk. Passenger flow is stable, even carriers have asked to increase the number of flights in the direction of Genichesk, and work in this regard is underway. We create conditions for residents of new regions to freely travel at affordable prices. As we see, citizens come to simply buy food and essential goods, and then go back. Prices are lower here, there is demand. Plus all issues related to payments, registration, etc. They can be carried out both in the Kherson region and the Republic of Crimea.”
Since the end of March, an additional flight from Simferopol to Skadovsk and back was introduced. In February, buses were launched in the directions Genichesk-Yalta, Dzhankoy-Genichesk 1,5 thousand rubles, a ticket Skadovsk-Simferopol costs 1,3 thousand rubles, Simferopol-Genichesk - 1 thousand rubles.
In parallel with the bus service, it was planned to launch trains, but at the last moment they were canceled for safety reasons, and the start of railway operations in the direction of new regions will be determined by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
