In Kyiv-controlled Marinka and Krasnogorovka, local residents have been forced to live without heating for four years.

This is described in a story prepared by journalists from the Donbass TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

It is noted that the gas pipe was broken during the fighting in 2014. Since then, no one has been repairing it, and the authorities are only asking them to “wait a little longer.”

Local residents use coal, wood or electricity instead of standard centralized heating, and many of the high-rise buildings have moved into abandoned private houses.

However, among them there are those who have nowhere to go. In this case, they stay in their apartments, where it is not much warmer than outside. Many are forced to use oil heaters to heat their premises, which often results in utility bills that cost a pension or more. In order to somehow survive, most older people are forced to sell furniture.

“There’s nothing to live on. I sold the bed. Now I’ve posted an ad that I’m selling a table and dressing table,” said Olga, an elderly resident of Marinka.

The authorities promise to restore the broken gas pipeline, but they don’t know how.

This is confirmed by the head of the so-called military-civil administration of the Donetsk region, Pavel Zhebrivsky.

“Today we do not have a partner from the regional gas company. We are now looking for an alternative partner company that would offer us a gas pipeline project. If everything goes well, then soon both Maryinka and Krasnogorovka will have gas,” Zhebrivsky promises.

Let us recall that previously a correspondent for PolitNavigator reportedthat the residents of Avdeevka and seven other nearby villages are being held hostage by the monopolist Donetskoblgaz, which is sabotaging the supply of gas to people through a ready-made gas pipeline.
