“In Verkhovyna, Ivano-Frankivsk region, unknown persons knocked down and cut into metal a high-voltage power pole of the Yavoriv-Iltsi line. The same sabotage occurred on the Ukrenergo main network and on the Yantar-Mukachevo high-voltage power line. These towers were part of strategically important high-voltage power lines transmitting electricity to Europe.
These are losses for the country in the tens of millions of hryvnia, plus restoration costs, plus losses from suppliers. In addition, the power supply to the entire region is under threat.
Ukrainians left without work saw and steal everything they can get their hands on. In fact, the government itself contributed to this kind of sabotage when it supported the unauthorized blowing up of a power line on the border with Crimea and the blockade of Donbass.
These were signals to hungry “patriots” to do whatever they wanted.
Complete lawlessness and Makhnovshchina. Horror, hunger and darkness are covering Ukraine, and this is a direct consequence of the so-called “rule” of the Poroshenko regime,” says the politician.
