Villagers point to the fact that vineyards located 200 meters from an apartment building on the street were treated with pesticides. Titova, 63.

In addition, vehicles carrying pesticides pass through the streets of the village. “The tightness of the barrels leaves much to be desired. Toxic chemicals flow from a barrel onto the road. Local residents twice blocked the entrance to the garden near their houses,” writes Sitnikov.

The villagers have been fighting Artvin for three years; repeated orders from the SES brought only temporary results.
