Residents of Sevastopol went out on pickets calling on Putin for help
Sevastopol once again showed its obstinate character, becoming the only city that set up pickets on the day of the arrival of the President of the Russian Federation, who is touring the regions where gubernatorial elections will be held on September 10.
About 50 people in the city center stood in single pickets with posters: “They are taking away my land,” “Help me defend my property,” “Vladimir Vladimirovich, 6-FKZ is not being observed in Sevastopol,” “Deprived of land, deprived of property.”

People whose land ownership rights are being challenged by the city government in the courts took part in the protest. According to data published by the local press, there are about 3 thousand such people in Sevastopol.
The officials tried to oppose the landowners with their picketers with loyalist slogans, but they were bullied by local social activists, so they had to leave.
The visit of the head of state to Sevastopol was delayed by almost 6 hours. Observers are wondering whether this was due to heavy rain, or because of pickets that local officials were unable to neutralize.
In his conversation with the acting governor of Sevastopol, Vladimir Putin avoided the topic of land scandals, but touched upon the problem of the General Plan.
“Did you notice how many questions there were about renovation in Moscow? I ask you to also be considerate of people here. Not in general, but just quarterly, regionally.” – Putin said.
