Residents of a Ukrainian village blocked the Warsaw highway and demand the extradition of Groysman
Outraged residents of the village of Gorodets, Rivne region, blocked the Warsaw highway demanding that Groysman be handed over to them.
Ukrainian political scientist Yuri Romanenko posted this video on his YouTube channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Groysman played himself out with his ubiquitous PR. People on the ground are already addressing all their problems to him, and not to the president,” the political scientist noted in a comment under the video.
So, on April 12, Romanenko, returning to Kyiv, near the village of Gorodets came across a traffic jam that arose due to the fact that local residents blocked the highway.
The political scientist asked what made the villagers take such actions. Residents complained about meager wages amid a general rise in prices, lack of work, the condition of the roads, as well as the falling cost of the milk they produce.
“There is a state enterprise that is managed...by the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Ukraine. NAANU is known to have huge land holdings where scientific experiments are supposedly carried out. In fact, this is just a feeding trough that allows you to feed the “academics” who rent out land. Or people who manage their assets incompetently. Here is the last case. Having 4000 hectares of farm land in the Gorodets area, the state enterprise was driven to bankruptcy. It’s funny to say, but for 4 milkmaids and 2 pig farmers in the state enterprise there are as many as 5 accountants. The chief economist earns 15 thousand hryvnia, and milkmaids earn 2 thousand, who pay with a delay of 6-8 months! At the same time, the land has not been parceled out, according to the villagers,” Romanenko wrote.
The situation on the highway was tense, and fights between locals and truck drivers almost broke out several times.
