The leader of the Russian Bloc public organization, Gennady Basov, said that he receives complaints from residents of the southern coast of Crimea who believe that they risk losing their real estate as a result of the expansion of the territory of the five-star Mriya hotel in Greater Yalta.

“We were given documents from which it follows that the process of selecting housing from the people who built it in Ukraine, in the area of the Mriya Hotel, has begun. From the materials received, it can be assumed that the sanatorium “Zori Rossii”, formerly “Zori Ukrainy”, was taken under the wing of a wealthier representative of the tourism business. In particular, the protection of nearby territories, including the territory adjacent to the Dawns of Russia, is carried out by representatives of Mriya,” Basov told PolitNavigator.

According to the politician, businessmen refer to the resolution of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea dated April 30, 2014 N 2085-6/14.

“This resolution concerned the nationalization of real estate in Crimea. And it seems like a noble cause, to return to the Crimeans what they are rightfully owed. However, the changes being made to the nationalization decree are not public in nature and seem to be a tool for “squeezing” housing from unsuspecting respectable citizens. So in the Yalta City Court there was a case in which a single mother was taken away from a residential building that she had inherited from her father. As it turned out, it was nationalized, and the territory, along with the house, could go to a representative of the tourism business,” states Basov.

According to him, “this is the only housing of a woman with a child in which they are registered by the authorities, but no one cares - there is a possibility that they will be thrown out onto the street” without providing any compensation.
