“I want to appeal to our Ukraine, to our people who live in this Ukraine, who always talk about “united Ukraine.” This is the voice of Debaltsevo, the residents of the city of Debaltsevo. Excuse me, people on the Maidan, when you went to the Maidan that year - you people, when you were shot, you shouted “Heavenly Hundred”, and you continue to talk about it. But for some reason, residents of the city of Debaltsevo, since June 24th, we have forgotten what life is. We have been living under shelling for four months, we are running around in basements, we have forgotten what normal life is. Our railway does not work. People are trying to leave, but they can’t because there is no money. There is no work in the city.
We are constantly being shelled. Sorry, we have the Ukrainian army, from which we, you know, we don’t see any protection from them. Why? Because the army must protect the people, there must be discipline in the army. And excuse me when drunken military men walk around our city. We are afraid to walk around the city. We sit at home after three o'clock in the evening, we are afraid to go out. And why? Because we don't feel protected. We don’t even feel protected from our army, which is in our city,” the woman said live on the Inter TV channel, which organized a teleconference between residents of Debaltseve and people on Independence Square in Kiev.
In response, the people standing on the Maidan told her that if the Chechens came, they would also rob and kill.
