This was reported by the press service of VASU.
The press service of the court reported that the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine received a claim from a resident of the city of Ordzhonikidze against the Verkhovna Rada, in which he insisted that the actions of the Verkhovna Rada during the preparation and adoption of a resolution regarding the renaming of the city of Ordzhonikidze to the city of Pokrov were unlawful. He also asked that this resolution be declared invalid and canceled.
At the same time, according to the press service, the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine attracted the Institute of National Remembrance to consider the case as a third party, but a representative of the Institute did not support the resident’s claims.
VACU, having considered the claim, the press service noted, refused to satisfy it. That is, he recognized as legal the decision of the Verkhovna Rada regarding the renaming of the city of Ordzhonikidze to Pokrov, Dnepropetrovsk region.
