Zhytomyr Armored Plant disrupted an important contract for the Ukrainian Armed Forces
By a court decision in a lawsuit filed by the military prosecutor's office of the Central region of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine received monetary compensation in the amount of 1,2 million hryvnia from the Zhytomyr Armored Plant state enterprise for failure to fulfill a state contract, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“On July 11, 2018, the Economic Court of Kiev, at the request of the military prosecutor’s office of the Central region, ordered the State Enterprise “Zhytomyr Armored Plant” to pay a penalty in favor of the Ministry of Defense in the amount of 578 thousand 755 UAH and a fine of 19 thousand 652 UAH,” the statement says. message.
In March 2018, the military prosecutor’s office of the Central region of Ukraine filed a claim with the Economic Court of Kiev in the interests of the state represented by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine against the State Enterprise “Zhytomyr Armored Plant”. The essence of the claim is to collect penalties from the latter for improper execution of a government contract.
It was established that the specified business entity did not supply military equipment determined by the terms of the contract, violating contractual obligations to the Ministry of Defense. In this regard, the customer did not receive this military equipment within the time limits specified by the conditions and in the appropriate quantity, and therefore did not send it to the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Currently, these funds are transferred to the accounts of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In the summer, the SBU conducted searches at the Zhytomyr armored plant.
