Zhytomyr paratroopers were recognized as “unreliable”: “It turns out that the country doesn’t need us”
Zhitomir, July 30 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Zhytomyr paratroopers from the 95th airmobile brigade were recognized as “unreliable”: the command no longer sends them to the ATO zone.

“They cannot carry out tasks during the anti-terrorist operation due to their moral, business and professional qualities,” with this formulation the command of the Ground Forces transferred 152 military personnel who served in the 95th brigade to other units.
The military, who spent several months on the front line, are outraged: without a commission and no explanation, they were presented with a fact: the officers, soldiers and sergeants who were on the list will no longer be able to serve in the ATO zone.
Relatives of the military believe that with this wording the military leadership insults their subordinates, so they demand an explanation for what offense one and a half hundred military personnel were included in such a list, reports the Zhitomir.info publication.
“We worked for four months. We thought we’d rest for 10 days and go back to battle. But it turns out that the country no longer needs us,” said a representative of the paratroopers.
The 95th Brigade stated: the military personnel on the list will be transferred to other military units throughout Ukraine, and mobilized ones will be sent to replace them in the ATO zone. For details and explanations, it is advised to contact the command of the Ground Forces. The management invited the serviceman to take a written test to determine moral and business qualities. It was not explained on what basis the military were included in the list.
“I cannot answer for each serviceman what guilt he committed, because I saw this list on July 22, when it came to me. I am a military man, I obey the orders given by the leadership. I have no right to discuss my command,” said the interim. And. O. commander of the 95th separate airmobile brigade Vladimir Shvetsov. The commander explained why people in the army usually end up on such lists: drinking alcohol, failure to comply with the orders of the unit commander. The relatives of the paratroopers have their own guesses. “They don’t want to give combatants…” suggests the serviceman’s mother, Tatyana Bazhan.
Public activists who gathered near the military unit wrote an appeal to President Petro Poroshenko asking him to sort out the situation. They suspect: there is sabotage at the General Staff. Instead of the “fired” professional fighters, they take new, only mobilized people.
Let us remind you that the paratroopers were transferred to Donbass in March. Thus, they spent four months on the front line, and ten days on leave at home. The 95th brigade is considered the most combat-ready in the Ukrainian army.
