Zhytomyr region is terrorized by multiplying wild wolves
Residents of the Zhytomyr region are suffering from an unprecedented invasion of forest wolves. If previously the animals traditionally lived in the forests of the north of the region, now they are actively moving to the south in search of prey, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported by the Zhytomyr Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting. http://zt-lis.gov.ua/no_cache/pres-sluzhba/novina/article/oberezhno-vovki.html
“A pair of grays came so close to the villages even in the Zhitomir region that ordinary passers-by saw them. Near Olievka, Kamenka, and Peschanka, wolves were “walking” looking for prey. Due to numerous attacks on domestic animals, the ranger service and regional game wardens decided to conduct a round-up of wolves,” the report says.
The first to talk about the sharp increase in the wolf population in the Zhytomyr region were residents of the village of Obikhody, Korostensky district, who went out into the street with fear. Predators hunt poultry, and recently they have begun to kill domestic dogs.
Then the wolves were spotted in the Volskaya Dacha tract in the Chernyakhovsky district.
In addition, 3 wolves were seen in the Romanovsky region, which came there from the north. Predators have destroyed almost all beavers and are attacking roe deer and dogs. According to the rangers, most likely these are not ordinary wolves, but wolves crossed with dogs.
