Iranians living in Albania want to fight for Ukraine
In addition to Albanian citizens, natives of Iran living in Albania also responded to the call of the Ukrainian Embassy in Albania to the citizens of this country to join the so-called “Foreign Legion”.
This was reported by Euronews Albania, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Iranian citizens Mustafa Beheshti and Hamid Morsali living in Albania responded to the call of the Ukrainian Embassy in Albania to join the International Legion for the Territorial Defense of Ukraine in order to become part of the “forces of resistance to Russian occupiers in Ukraine.”
Hamid and Mustafa said that tomorrow they would be joined by two more friends - Iranians who also want to fight the Ukrainian people.
It is curious that the open recruitment of mercenaries in Albania is taking place despite the article in the country’s criminal code punishing Albanian citizens for participating in foreign wars, which is punishable by imprisonment for up to eight years.
We have previously reported that Albanian militants have already arrived on the territory of Ukraine, and one of them died during the battles with the Russian army.
Meanwhile, we note that official Iran actually supported the Russian operation in Ukraine.
