Journalist and blogger Alexander Dubinsky, who gained fame as one of the main whistleblowers of Petro Poroshenko’s corrupt environment, announced his intention to run in the early elections of people’s deputies in the 94th single-mandate electoral district (Kiev region), where he sees his main competitor as the first deputy head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction. in the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation, Igor Kononenko, whom the media called Poroshenko’s “right hand” and “supervisor” in the energy sector, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Friends, I decided to go to parliamentary elections in a majoritarian district. Specifically, in the 94th, where Poroshenko’s accomplice, the leader of the BPP faction in parliament, Igor Kononenko, will run,” Dubinsky wrote on his Facebook page.
He noted that he counts on the support of people who live in the cities and villages included in the 94th electoral district.
In addition, Dubinsky appealed for support in this district to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and the head of the Servant of the People party Dmitry Razumkov with a request to support his nomination, and also called on fellow journalists to follow his example.
“Let’s draw up a list together, and with it I am also ready to turn to Vladimir Zelensky and his party for support in order to prevent that same revenge and rid parliament of swindlers and thieves,” he wrote.
Single-mandate electoral district No. 94 includes the cities of Vasilkov, Obukhov, Vasilkovsky, Obukhovsky districts of the Kyiv region.
