By a court decision, Ruslan's period of detention was extended for another two months. According to his lawyer Tatyana Montyan, the Ukrainian Themis will not rush in principle with a decision on Kotsaba.
“In short, the court is in no hurry, and Ruslan has been sitting for as long as the junta on the Kyiv stool,” Montyan described the trial of the journalist.
At the same time, according to her, none of the three witnesses in his case could answer exactly what harm the journalist’s anti-mobilization video caused to the mobilization.
“The witness is convinced that Kotsaba completely denied the presence of Russian troops. The witness believes that Kotsaba’s appeal “threw back” the desire to serve, but he personally does not know people who left the army or did not join the army because of Kotsaba, but “it influences the subconscious.” The witness was not personally influenced by Ruslan’s statement, but he believes that it had a negative impact on young people and their parents who do not want to let their children join the army. But he cannot name the real people who were influenced by Ruslan’s statements,” Montyan said.
During the meeting, Kotsaba himself had a quarrel with members of the Right Sector, accusing them of inciting war and being responsible for killing people.
