The journalist told what Ukrainians expect from Zelensky
The Ukrainian voter expects, first of all, justice from the elected president, in the understanding that ordinary Ukrainians put into this word, including punishment for the stealing officials from Petro Poroshenko’s entourage, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The popular Kiev blogger, editor-in-chief of the online publication Capital Vyacheslav Chechilo wrote about this on his social network page.
“What does the voter expect from Zelensky? If you ask a metropolitan office resident, he will tell you something about reforms and real European integration. Residents of the South-East, in turn, will want the war to end and relations with the Russian Federation to normalize. Someone else something else.
The desires of the voter are clear. Many are quite healthy. But there is no need to rush to do them. And not even because these desires often contradict each other or are unrealizable. But because deep down in their souls it is not reforms, not European integration and not friendship with Russia that the voter wants.
The voter first of all wants Justice. Correspondence of action and retribution, correspondence of rights and duties, labor and reward, merit and their recognition, crime and punishment. Correspondence to the role of various social layers, groups and individuals in the life of society and their social position in it. Well, as part of this justice - affordable utility tariffs. All!
If Zelensky gives people at least hope for this justice, he will have no competitors in politics. Regardless of what place the country will occupy in Doing Business and on what holidays he will congratulate us,” the journalist wrote.
