The orgy of renaming Kyiv toponyms continues with complete indifference to this process of the majority of deputies of the Kiev City Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It’s funny to watch how the Kyiv City Council is stamping out decisions to rename streets. It’s funny in the sense that people who vote for this don’t really care what the streets are called. The vast majority of Kyiv City Council deputies are businessmen and decision-makers who use their mandate to promote business issues and personal enrichment. Everything else is at their disposal. Thus, to make a decision on renaming a street, it is enough that there are several deputies or simply city hall officials who will initiate this topic and promote it according to the procedure,” he writes.
“Two nationalists can rename the entire city and no one will care,” Chechilo sums up bitterly.
Let us remind you that only in recent days the Kyiv City Council has renamed the streets of the Ukrainian capital in honor of Nazi collaborators during the Second World War, in honor of the scandalous terrorist Amina Okueva, who was blown up by her competitors, and the cardinal of the UGCC, Lyubomir Guzar, who glorified the war.
