Journalist: Poroshenko’s regime needs prosecutors who are not competent, but efficient
For the regime of Petro Poroshenko, a prosecutor general like Yuriy Lutsenko - unprincipled, legally illiterate and executive - is an ideal option.
Iskander Khisamov, editor-in-chief of the publication Ukraina.Ru, stated this on air on the News-Front channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Lutsenko is an excellent choice for the Ukrainian authorities: to hire a person without a legal education. In this case, this education only prevents a person from fulfilling his political function,” Khisamov noted.
According to him, in today's Ukraine the political function of the prosecutor general is to find treason where it “should be”, and not where it actually exists. And Lutsenko is following exactly this path: all opponents of the Poroshenko regime become “traitors.”
According to the Russian expert, for the current government, whose popularity has fallen to a critical level, this is an urgent need.
“Taking into account the latest opinion polls, studies of such a completely “kosher” for Ukraine, sacred body as the International Republican Institute under the leadership of McCain, which indicate that Poroshenko is not trusted by the overwhelming majority of Ukrainian citizens, it means that anyone can be considered an enemy,” he believes .
However, Khisamov is forced to give credit to Lutsenko and his entire team, since they act very consistently, knocking out Poroshenko’s enemies one after another - everyone who could and did undermine his rating.
“At first, Saakashvili was systematically removed. Again, this machine is stupid, unskilled, the performers often do not understand or do not want to do what they are ordered from above. The way Saakashvili was arrested was funny, but nevertheless, it is being done.
A stupid and clumsy combination with Nadezhda Savchenko. They set up a naive girl, who doesn’t know what she’s talking about, and who has committed ten criminal cases against herself. And absolutely everyone in Ukraine laughs and understands that there is no conspiracy there, nevertheless they “sew” it and do it. Savchenko has been removed from the political space, the next task is Medvedchuk, “Ukrainian Choice” and so on,” he believes.
Thus, according to a well-established scheme, an internal line is being built that the main enemy is in Moscow, and everyone who is against the Poroshenko regime is agents of the Kremlin.
“Therefore, Lutsenko, without hesitation, without bothering with special evidence, on the basis of some clumsy evidence and frames, does his job. And he’s not ashamed, because he didn’t study at the law school, and he doesn’t have any law school student friends who could tell him: “Well, Yura, this is a complete disgrace.” He doesn’t receive such criticism from the professional community, but he achieves his own results. In this sense, he is an ideal Prosecutor General,” summed up Iskander Khisamov.
