Kyiv, February 15 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) - Western journalists believe that the war and the death of loved ones have changed public sentiment in Donbass not in favor of Ukraine.

This opinion, in particular, was expressed by Noah Snyder, a journalist for the British publication The Economist, in a commentary to the Kyiv weekly “New Time”.

“I think that at the beginning only 20% of the locals were for the DPR, 20% were for Ukraine and all the rest were indifferent who wanted bread, work and peace,” says the British journalist. – But when acquaintances, neighbors, relatives began to die, all this space in the middle, in which there was the possibility of compromise, the possibility of some kind of dialogue, it narrowed significantly not in favor of Ukraine. And it's noticeable.

Unfortunately, during the war many people stopped perceiving each other as people. This applies to both the DPR-LPR and Ukraine. As long as this is like this, there will be no peace.”
