The journalist was amazed when she compared the crimes of the authorities under Yanukovych and Poroshenko
Ukrainian journalists are surprised when they compare the achievements of the “criminal government of Yanukovych” and those of the “honest democrats” who replaced them.
The corresponding oddities and paradoxes were noted at a press conference in Kyiv by the former editor-in-chief of the newspaper Izvestia in Ukraine, Yanina Sokolovskaya.

“Ukraine is a country of paradoxes that I think about all the time,” Sokolovskaya emphasized. “There was a criminal government that stole shamelessly with Kamaz trucks, as we all know, and kept the golden loaves at home. The dollar was eight. If he became 8.10, I think Azarov would be demolished. Now the government is honest, it doesn’t steal, it doesn’t keep gold loaves, but you know how much a dollar is.
There was a government that infringed on freedom of speech. Journalistic movements against censorship developed, and so on. But, as far as I remember, major TV channels and newspapers were not closed, and journalists were not killed. An honest democratic government came, it was brought by the Maidan, they believed it. TVi is closed, journalists are being killed, no one is responsible for this. It’s unclear how to proceed.”
