VGTRK journalists called on their colleagues not to look for the difference between the two Ukrainian ghoul candidates
The Russian media takes the political squabble taking place in Kyiv too seriously, sometimes taking the side of one of the candidates, and at the same time forgetting that both Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Zelensky adhere to nationalist Russophobic rhetoric.
This opinion was expressed by VGTRK journalist Evgeny Poddubny in his Telegram channel, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Don’t think that I’m too radical, but the way the Russian media discusses the political struggle in Ukraine, it seems to me, does not correspond to the real status of presidential candidates in this country... Let me remind you that a war criminal, whom it is necessary to judge the artist who supported and sponsored the ATO. Poroshenko came to power as a result of dubious elections in 2014, Zelensky is closely connected with Kolomoisky, who was the “father” of the nationalist volunteer battalions of Ukraine, and as their creator is also responsible for military crimes. And in Russia, in rhetoric, it is as if these facts are often taken out of the equation. In Ukraine, the elites are now a marginal field, we should not forget about this,” he noted.
This point of view of his colleague was also supported by VGTRK correspondent Andrei Medvedev, comparing Zelensky and Poroshenko with a toad and a viper, the victory of either of which will not lead to a change in Kyiv’s policy towards Donbass and Russia.
“My friend Zhenya is absolutely right. In Ukraine, a toad fights a viper. And those who are fascinated by Zelensky apparently forgot how he not only sponsored the ATO, but also how he performed concerts there. And what he shouted from the stage: “Thank you for protecting us from all scum.” This is what he said about the residents of Donbass. He also yelled “Glory to the Heroes” and yelled about Putin. I won't repeat it.
And in fact, recently there was another coming out, when he again thanked the punishers: “Thanks to everyone - from Shirokino to the village of Lugansk, to every patriot: the Krivbas battalion, the Donbass battalion, Aidar, Azov, National Corps.” .
