“The Central Election Commission promptly replaced the leadership of DEC 140 and after taking the oath, the new members of the commission began to perform their duties in tabulating the voting results.
The police reliably guarded all ballots and protocols of precinct election commissions, without allowing any illegal actions. This is another proof of how Ukraine has changed after the Maidan!” – Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko wrote on his Facebook page
“It remains to find, interrogate and bring to justice the negligent leadership of OIC 140, who, having not given a damn about the oath to the people of Ukraine, abandoned their post and thus jeopardized the disruption of counting the will of tens of thousands of residents of the Odessa region,” Gerashchenko emphasized, noting that this should be "a kind of inoculation to prevent such cases in the future, when the commissioners are more afraid of the wrath of their master than of punishment by the force of the law."
According to data published on the CEC website, with 25,22% of processed protocols, Viktor Dobryansky is in the lead with 24,57%, followed by another self-nominated candidate Vasily Gulyaev with 22,37%. In third place is David Zhvania from the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” with 14,99% of the votes.
It should be noted that earlier information appeared about the leadership of Zhvania and that after observers identified discrepancies between the data of the protocols of the precinct election commissions and the data on the Central Election Commission website, members of the district committee fled, including the chairman Anatoly Yatskov, according to local media, his brother Zhvania's confidant.
