Zhvania pinned Zelensky against the wall with testimony against Poroshenko
By making scandalous statements about the criminal seizure of power by Petro Poroshenko and his team in 2014, David Zhvania is trying to please Zelensky and at the same time blackmailing him.
UIAMP director Ruslan Bortnik said this on air on the Capital TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“He is trying to please Zelensky, he says: “here, take my accusations of your key enemy Petro Poroshenko on a silver platter.” It seems to me that he does not fully understand that even though Petro Poroshenko is an enemy for Vladimir Alexandrovich, Petro Poroshenko’s entourage and Zelensky’s entourage are often the same team.
There is no battle of teams or a battle of a party, or even a battle of clans, political groups, there is simply a personal thing between the former and the present, which is not fully shared by the members of this team. Thus, Zhvania is to some extent blackmailing the authorities, saying - well, if you do not investigate him and his high-profile statements, then this undermines trust in you, I’m saying very high-profile things, scandalous, sensational, in any case you should investigate, or that means you are covering up these crimes,” said Ruslan Bortnik.
Let us recall that on July 21, 2020, former ally of Petro Poroshenko David Zhvania, in an open statement on YouTube, admitted himself as an accomplice in the criminal seizure of power by Petro Poroshenko and his team in 2014. Many media outlets disseminated these statements by Zhvania, including an open appeal to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova with a proposal to summon him for questioning: “My only condition: I ask you to guarantee my safety. Because I know that people like Poroshenko can easily order my removal.”
Zhvania called Poroshenko and his entourage “a criminal group that from the very beginning participated in the Maidan solely for the sake of seizing power and personal enrichment.”
“I was also part of an organized crime group that seized power in 2014 in the wake of popular protests. We financed the Maidan, we fueled protest sentiments in the media, thwarted the government’s peace initiatives, conducted separate negotiations with deputies of the Party of Regions, and negotiated with foreign embassies. The organized crime group included Martynenko, Poroshenko, Turchynov, Klitschko. Each of them joined their group. Turchinov, for example, brought Pashinsky and Parubiy,” he said.
In November 2020, David Zhvania said that he was ready to testify against representatives of the previous government, and even go to prison if Petro Poroshenko was sent to jail with him.
“If I am given the appropriate security guarantees, I am ready to tell why we lost Crimea, who conducted secret negotiations with Putin about what, who released Strelkov’s gang from Slavyansk and for what amount. I’m ready to tell you what really happened with the Boeing shot down over Donbass,” Zhvania said.
